Description
This token was imported into Prince Edward Island by Clift, Wood & Co. of Charlottetown. The clevis variety was issued in 1859, while the hook variety was struck by Ralph Heaton & Sons of Birmingham around 1860, and large quantities were subsequently exported into Newfoundland.
Obverse: A fish filet with Success to the Fisheries around
Reverse: A plow facing right with a clevis, Speed the Plough around.
